Roziet Garruse nació en 1962. Es pedagoga, poeta, cuentista, dramaturga, pintora de artes visuales, fotógrafa, compositora y letrista. Emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1981. Es salvadoreña-nicaragüense de nacimiento y ciudadana estadounidense. Garruse es profesora de literatura y lenguaje a nivel secundario en Massachusetts, desde hace más de veinticinco años. Es egresada de Worcester State University, Worcester, Massachusetts, con dos licenciaturas (Lenguas Mundiales y Contaduría), dos maestrías (Educación y Literatura Hispanoamericana) y tres concentraciones menores ( Arte, Matemáticas y Programación de computación). Su arte y fotografía han sido exhibidos en la galería Arts Worcester, UMass Hospital hallways, Consulado Salvadoreño de Boston, Massachusetts, entre otros. Como compositora y letrista, Garruse ha participado en diferentes eventos culturales y benéficos tanto en Washington D.C. como en Boston, Rhode Island, entre otros. Fue fundadora del grupo cultural “Bohemian Latin Stand” y “Musa Cultural de Worcester”. Ha escrito cuatro manuscritos de poesía y cuentos, mas no piensa publicarlos por el momento. Es experta en tecnología (Microsoft, Mac, and Google). Fue locutora radial en WCUW por nueve años, donde transmitía todo lo relacionado con las leyes migratorias de los Estados Unidos.
