To share with the world a little bit of my creativity. For many years, I have kept all my inner babies in a treasure box, within the walls of my mind, and home. Now I am ready to be part of many like me.
My paintings at one point, were exhibited in local galleries. Now they hang on my walls. Per choice, of course. I got tired of the politics.
I performed my 140+ songs in different states in the U.S. Now, I hardly play them. I registered half of them at the Library of Congress. And that is all with them.
My poetry never left my side. I did read around at some local poetry venues. A few were published in Cuscatla.com, a website created by my country, El Salvador. I never published a book, because I wanted the big enchilada, never a chapter book like many of my local fellow poets.
My photography is up and down. It is whenever I feel like taking my camera. Not everything attracts my eyes. I’m too picky. A few photographs made it to a gallery. One was selected for a local calendar. I was October, my favorite month. Another one stands on a wall of UMASS Hospital, a prestige hospital. I felt great about it.
I cannot forget my stories. They walk with me everywhere. As a middle school teacher I’m constantly sharing some of them with my students. They love them. I have never got to put them on paper, though. I’m always proof reading them. So they end up unfinished.
One day perhaps, I decide to pursue in a serious manner one of these calls. Meanwhile, I will share some of my work through this venue.
